How can a music festival shape the career path of a young musician? This was the question that prompted this study, inspired by my experience as a former student at the Alcobaça Music Academy and as an audience member at Cistermúsica. The research explores the role of festivals in artistic development, motivation and the creation of a closer connection between young people, music and culture.
