The Impermanência(s) project, by the Hot Clube Portugal Jazz Orchestra, seeks to expand the boundaries of the traditional jazz orchestra, suggesting a dialogue between improvisation and written composition, authorship, collective and individual expression, as well as interpretation as a fundamental element of musical practice.
Promoting the creation of original works through collaboration with national and foreign composers, the orchestra, under the musical direction of Pedro Moreira, explores the intersections between improvised music and contemporary classical music, encouraging a reflection that broadens the formal and aesthetic possibilities of these two universes.
