Ensemble Sunrise
A Musical Journey with a String Orchestra
FREE ENTRANCE
The young Sunrise Ensemble, created for a specific project with the Coro da Banda de Alcobaça at Cistermúsica 2024, is daring to take its first steps as an independent group. It will present itself at Cistermúsica Redes with a captivating and diverse programme, giving a small glimpse of the repertoire that most characterises the string orchestra. Some of the pearls of music have been selected that the general public can easily identify and enjoy.
Under the direction of violinist Nuno de Vasconcelos, the Ensemble Sunrise is made up of young musicians who are from or have studied in the West region of Portugal, with the mission of bringing new vitality to the string family in this region.
