Gioachino Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle, composed in 1863, is a masterpiece of sacred music that blends the solemnity of the Mass with the composer's characteristic lightness and elegance. In this concert, the work will be performed in the formation originally devised by Rossini, with piano, harmonium, soloists and a reduced choir, creating an intimate and profound atmosphere. Conducted by João Paulo Santos on the piano and Nuno Margarido Lopes on the harmonium, the concert will feature soloists Patrycja Gabrel (soprano), Natália Carvalho Brito (mezzo-soprano), João Rodrigues (tenor) and André Baleiro (bass), accompanied by the Ensemble São Bernardo, in a line-up of 12 singers.
