Banda Sinfónica de Alcobaça and Maat Saxophone Quartet
The programme, part of Cistermúsica – Alcobaça Music Festival, consists of three works for orchestra and saxophone quartet. The Maat Saxophone Quartet, a promising ensemble that has garnered rave reviews in some of Europe’s most renowned concert halls, accompanies the BSA in Maatwerk by Johan de Meij, Ciudades by Guillermo Lago and Correntes by Carlos Filipe Cruz. The first of these works premiered on 14 May at the Roermond Theatre (Netherlands), whilst the third work will be premiered during this performance.
