Alexandre Delgado's O Romance da Raposa (The Fox's Novel), based on the novel by Aquilino Ribeiro, was commissioned by the Almada Theatre for a theatre production conceived and directed by Teresa Gafeira, and premiered at the Joaquim Benite Municipal Theatre in December 2018. The current version of O Romance da Raposa (The Fox's Novel) for piano and narration was premiered at the Diogo Bernardes Theatre in Ponte de Lima in October 2022 by Christina Margotto, with piano and narration by Alexandre Delgado, and is part of Christina Margotto's project, proposed by Mestres Viajantes, A Raposa faz 100 anos, which received support from DGArtes-República Portuguesa, ARTAVE - Escola Profissional Artística do Vale do Ave, Antena 2, AVA Musical Editions, Municipality of Ponte de Lima, Diogo Bernardes Theatre and Mestres Viajantes for the edition of a CD-Book, simultaneously in Braille with illustration by Dina Sashse, to celebrate the centenary of the first publication of this classic of Portuguese children's literature (1924).
