The High Middle Ages are considered to be of particular importance in the history of Europe, as this period saw the beginning of development processes in very different areas that had a lasting impact on the further history and development of Europe. The founding of influential religious orders such as the Franciscans, Dominicans and especially Cistercians also took place during this period. The monasteries were in constant and active contact throughout Europe.
Ars Choralis Coeln are focused mainly on the Cistercian nuns, their spirituality, their mysticism and their music. In this concert, you can experience a journey into the fascinating world of the Cistercian nuns, in whose monasteries music and mysticism formed an inseparable unit. Immerse yourself in the meditative power of their chants and let yourself be enchanted by the spiritual depth of their unique music and art.
