Volkswagen renews its presence as Official Sponsor of the Alcobaça Music Festival in 2025

Cistermúsica once again combines the excellence of classical music with automotive innovation, renewing its collaboration with Volkswagen, which returns as Official Sponsor of the 2025 edition of the festival. This joint commitment reinforces both brands' commitment to providing quality cultural experiences, combined with increasingly sustainable mobility solutions.

With more than three decades of history, Cistermúsica stands out for opening doors to heritage and transforming the Monastery of Alcobaça into a true place of pilgrimage for music lovers. It is in this setting of discovery that Volkswagen, at the forefront of electric mobility, is once again partnering with the festival, presenting the latest generation of its 100% electric ID. Family and inviting the public to break new ground in a more environmentally friendly way. The Volkswagen Tayron, the brand's latest model, will also be on display.

From 27 June to 2 August, under the motto Variations, Impressions and Illusions, the Alcobaça Music Festival celebrates composers such as Ravel, Shostakovich and Palestrina, in a diverse programme that combines tradition and modernity, values that also reflect Volkswagen's identity.

With more than 50 concerts, the city reinforces its status as a cultural destination of excellence, and Volkswagen accompanies this musical journey, offering the public opportunities for direct contact with its electric range, which will be on display throughout the city. In addition, brand activations are planned for the major concerts at Cerca do Mosteiro and test drive experiences of the ID. family and Volkswagen's SUV range will take place on the weekend of 19 and 20 July, next to the Municipal Market and Alcobaça Town Hall, creating moments of interaction that show how it is possible to travel more sustainably to music.

The festival also has the support of the “La Caixa” Foundation, in collaboration with BPI, and the Portuguese Republic – Culture / Directorate-General for the Arts, and is held in partnership with the Municipality of Alcobaça and Museus e Monumentos de Portugal, EPE / Alcobaça Monastery.
