Salix Cantor (2026)
The Salix Cantor chamber choir, founded in Madrid in 2012 and led by Francisco Ruiz Montes, travelled from Spain to perform the Requiem for an Empress at the Monastery of Cós. This programme is based on the Officium defunctorum, a masterpiece by Tomás Luis de Victoria, composed for the funeral of Empress Maria of Austria.
