Jovem Orquestra Portuguesa (2025)
The Jovem Orquestra Portuguesa returned to the festival under the direction of Pedro Carneiro to give us the chance to hear one of the most remarkable works of the 20th century concert repertoire: Shostakovich's Cello Concerto N.º 1, performed by the virtuoso cellist Pavel Gomziakov, in a programme that also included Brahms' Symphony N.º 2, a pearl of Romanticism, and the absolute premiere of a work by Francisco Lima da Silva.
