With this concert, Trio Elogio proposes a dialogue or, more properly, a discussion between contemporary pieces by prominent composers Bruno Vlahek and Hugo Vasco Reis, originally composed for this formation in the last four years, and transcriptions of masterpieces of pianistic romanticism, finalized in the same period by guitarist Petrit Çeku.
The idea of Quasi Ritorno is always present in this programme, questioning the (im)possibilities of Musical Repetition with the "quasi-minimalism" of Vlahek, the form of Vasco Reis and the thematic modulations of Schubert.
Thus joining the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the composer's birth, this guitar trio also raises the impossible question: "What if Rachmaninoff had written for guitar?"
