Officium Ensemble has established itself as one of the most prominent Portuguese vocal groups dedicated to ancient music. The purity of the sound that makes them so characteristic comes from the work of fusion, emission and balance that the group has developed since its creation, under the direction of Pedro Teixeira. Allied to this characteristic, the commitment and expressivity of the ensemble singers have taken Officium Ensemble to be acclaimed for its remarkable, committed and consistent performances, in which the response to the text plays an essential role.

The repertoire they dominate and which they have specialized extends throughout the Renaissance period and the beginning of the Baroque, dedicating itself with special focus to the old Portuguese music and specifically to the music of the Sé de Évora, also including the Franco-Flemish schools, Spanish and English of the Tudor era.
