We regret to inform that the recent travel restrictions imposed by Germany to passengers coming from Portugal make impossible the performance of the South Korean quartet, scheduled for 18h00 on the 4th of July in the Monastery of Alcobaça - Granary.

All the spectators who bought tickets for this show will get their money back. If you bought tickets at the Alcobaça Music Academy, you must go to the same place until the 4th of July, accompanied by the ticket. Spectators who purchased tickets through the online ticket office Meo Blueticket will receive the bank transfer of the ticket price.

The Cistermúsica organization is making efforts to reschedule the concert in due time.

String quartet

The Esmé Quartet is one of today's most ravishing and vibrant string quartets, having leapt into the limelight in 2018 following their landmark and impressive victory at the Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition in London. On today's programme Wonhee Bae, Yuna Há, Jiwon Kim and Ye-Eun Heo, four talented and irreverent South Korean instrumentalists, will perform works by Joseph Haydn, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Astor Piazolla in an exciting and enriching journey through the extraordinary richness, variety and profusion of styles, timbres and forms of musical discourse of this diverse and distinctive set of composers.

Access to the venue
The access to the Mosteiro de Alcobaça will be through the Santa Maria Hotel front. The exit is through the same place. The entrance is exclusive to ticket holders. The entrance is made from 17h15 and until 15 minutes before the beginning of the show. No entry is allowed after the beginning of the show.

Safety guidelines
Masks must be worn, even with a visor.
Meet safety distances when entering the venue.
Use the hand sanitizer dispensers available in several areas of the venue.
Comply with respiratory etiquette.
Respect the distance between the seats.
No physical format of the programme notes will be handed out.
