Women Composers and the Song

Voice Recital

TICKETS »

For many years we only knew the music of Mendelssohn's sister and the wives of Schumann and Mahler.  With the widening of interest in other repertoires and with musicological studies and new music editions we discovered that there was much more and much more varied. If there is a problem today it is only the excess of material to make known. And what a long list of names that deserve to be talked about and heard! In this programme we will only be able to invoke a part of this repertoire, one song per composer, there is not enough time for more. We will stick to the 19th and 20th centuries if we do not include any personality still alive. We hope in this way to arouse your curiosity!
