Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa
The Forbidden Love
Founded in 2005 in the city of Porto, the Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa (BSP) has performed throughout the years in the most important concert halls in Portugal, also promoting, in the majority of its concerts, the presentation of talented national and international soloists. At Cistermúsica, the BSP takes the stage with João Barradas, one of the most highly regarded and widely recognised accordionists in Europe today, who moves between classical music, jazz and improvised music. A concert where, besides the Symphonic Dances from Leonard Bernstein's musical masterpiece West Side Story and Adam Gorb's Yiddish Dances, we will have the opportunity to hear the world premiere of Rabela by the Portuguese composer Telmo Marques.
