Spanish harpist Angélica Salvi, based in Porto since 2011, is dedicated to improvisation and contemporary and electroacoustic music, exploring various techniques of preparation and amplification of the instrument in search of new timbres and sonorities.
The harpist invites the audience to dive into her emotional and spiritual references, using them as the script for a dream. Starting from the acrobatics of breathing (inhaling, exhaling) and the dynamics of the tides, Salvi explores the universe of repetition in a cosmic and structured invocation of trance in a magnetic and syncopated movement. In this inner, oneiric and intimate journey, the audience is guided along winding, tropical paths, in a potentially shamanic experience, by ambiguous and multifaceted sonorities, from Papé Nziengui to Alice Coltrane.
